I couldn’t put The Submssive down when I finally started reading it. I couldn’t wait to read this book. I figured it was a continuation of the story. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was Nathaniel’s POV (point of view) from the first book.
Nathaniel West doesn’t lose control.
As the playboy CEO of West Industries, he governs the boardroom during the day; as a strict dominant with exacting rules, he commands the bedroom at night. He never takes on inexperienced submissives, but when Abigail King’s application comes across his desk, he breaks his own restrictions and decides to test her limits.
Abby’s combination of innocence and willingness is intoxicating, and Nathaniel is soon determined to collar her as his own. As long as she follows his orders and surrenders herself fully to him, no one will get hurt.
But when Nathaniel begins falling for Abby on a deeper level, he realizes that the trust must go both ways—and he has secrets which could bring the foundations of their entire relationship crashing down…
About the Author:
After completing several clean romances, she decided to try her hand at something spicier and started The Submissive. What began as a writing exercise quickly took on a life of its own. An avid reader of all types of fiction, she soon discovered she enjoyed writing a variety as well.
Tara lives in the Southeastern United States with her family, two dogs, and a cat.
Where to Purchase:
| I loved reading the story again from Nathaniel’s perspective. It completed the story for me. As I read it I would realize why Nathaniel did something or why Abby reacted the way she did. There were a lot of “ahh” moments for me. I think I enjoyed his story so much more because it gave insight into WHY he was so against a relationship with Abby, aside from the Dom/Sub relationship.
I appreciate the family bond he has with Jackson and so glad Jackson was by his side in the darkest days. I love how the author brought his Dom Trainer to the story and how Paul also supported him and was ready to kick his arse when necessary but also helped him to do the right thing and fix himself. Instead of his aunt Linda coming to give him a pep talk, the men in his life rallied around him to help make him a better person.
I also enjoyed the conversations he finally had with Abby. I appreciate that Abby is going slow and taking her time. Their relationship has certainly changed.
I love the author’s writing style. I was pleasantly surprised with how Nathaniel has turned out so far but then when one is so in love you will do what he did for Abby in this book to make the result what it is. This book gave a harder yet softer side of Nathaniel, knowing his inner and sometimes deep thoughts.
And I must add that the sex scenes are written with such class. They can be erotic when they need to be and so sensual when they should be as well. Beautiful story telling. Looking forward to book number three. I couldn’t put this book down!
