Not a bad game… Damien sends Nikki on a scavenger hunt. It’s awesome! So well thought out, so well planned. Just when you think she has received her gift…there is another one and it’s NOT her final Valentine’s Day gift. Damien loves Nikki…it’s obvious.
And catch her he does…(smirks) and then they do what they are so good at… The fire between Damien and Nikki burns brightly whether they are together or apart. They can drive each other CRAZY! (You must read this book)

If you have read the Stark Trilogy Series then you know Damien and Nikki. This was a sweet, sexy, hot story about their first Valentine’s Day that certainly didn’t disappoint me in any way.
Damien and Nikki return from the honeymoon, back to the real world but still very much in love. A bit more relaxed too I would say. Damien loves to show Nikki his love and this Valentine’s Day, he sends her on a scavenger hunt for her present. This was fun. Nikki gladly accepts the challenge and with Jamie’s help she solves most of the clues. It wasn’t easy. Damien REALLY put thought and work into this hunt. Does the man ever sleep? Always the thoughtful one, Damien relishes in Nikki’s happiness.
If you remember the story of Damien and Nikki, there is a black cloud that lingers around Damien. He is rich and popular. Someone is always out to extort money or blackmail him. This time Nikki’s BFF Jamie is involved along with Damien. He struggles with paying the person or calling their bluff since Nikki, and now Jamie are family and his to protect. Interesting how he handles it. I was certainly surprised.
The love scenes between Nikki and Damien are well written. When Damien needs a release from tension and anger, Nikki gives herself over to him. All of her. When Nikki is scared and upset, Damien is there for her release instead of a knife. They are so good for each other and compliment one another knowing what the other needs. Sometimes no words are exchanged, just actions. It is beautiful to read.
I love J. Kenner’s Stark Trilogy series and will certainly read more books by her. Her characters are believable and fun mixed with danger and excitement. While I wasn’t on the edge of my seat with this novella, I know that I have been before with Damien and Nikki. I enjoyed their beautiful Valentine’s Day story with a hint of danger.
