My Review

I love these characters! This is so a 5 star read! OMG! Evie is so full of piss and vinegar, spunk and fire she is crazy fun. She’s a girl who knows what she wants that’s for sure! She wants a do-over. Her first time wasn’t so memorable and she wants Smith to be her ONE. There is one small problem though, Smith is her brother’s best friend. Yep, just a small problem at best.

I love the opening chapters as Evie is bound and determined to get her way and it seems every little thing comes in the way, it’s almost comical to read. I felt like I was in the bar with them watching it all go down. I love the alternating point of views in this story, actually any story really. It is fun to get into the character’s head and hear what they are thinking.

This story more than the last ones I have read really pulled at my heart learning about Smith’s past. He was so guarded and careful that he never had a serious relationship. Figuring out his feelings for Evie was serious stuff and he needed to make sure he was in it for real. I love how he shared his life with her and made her a part of his family. Read and you will understand. It’s quite comical.

Evie is Evie. I love the name first of all and I LOVE when Smith called her by her full name. Everleigh.  Beautiful name. She was the little tag along dubbed Evie Knievel as a kid, but Smith never thought she got in the way, he loved having her around. But she never knew. Now that she is all grown up, she has to prove to Smith that she is more than a tag along. And she does her best to do prove to him that she is ready for a new chapter in their friendship. I love that Smith realizes she’s not a 5 star restaurant kind of girl, but a down to earth simple girl. Loved that point!

This is my favorite so far in the series so far. I think it’s the deep soul searching that both of them go through knowing there is another person in their friendship triangle that stands to get hurt of they don’t be careful and do this right. Definite 5 stars and one you must pick up today!
