The Power of “RT – Retweet” DO IT! #NaBloPoMo

If you are on Twitter you have power.  Real power.  It is easy.  One button.  That’s all it takes.  One click.  It is called the Retweet button.  It is simple.  Quick.  It looks like this:

retweet

You are asking why this is such a big deal?  Who cares about the retweet button?

If you are an Indie Author trying to spread the word about your new book release then you care.

And your followers should care too!

reyweet tee

The life of a tweet, according to wishpond.com, is 18 minutes.  It is hottest in the first seven minutes.  Then it slowly loses it’s spark and sizzle.  Soon it disappears.  Gone.  Never to be seen again most likely.  So if your tweet wasn’t seen the first time it went out, it is lost.  Right?  This is where retweets are so important.

A few weeks ago, I did a post on my blog for the book release of an Indie Author.  I made five different posts on my blog and each time, that post made a tweet on my Twitter account.  I then went into my Hootesuite account and scheduled those tweets to post again 5 times each.  So I posted my own tweets 25 times on the TL at various times during the day.  What does that come down to?  At that time I had 1048 followers who saw my 25 tweets so my tweets hit the TL 26,200 times or 26,200 different opportunities for that new book to be seen by someone who might not know the author.  And that was just mine alone. Release Day Teaser 2 – Father and Son By Michelle Day ~ @ProdigalSon_1 #NaBloPoMo

father & son release day banner for blog posts

There’s only one woman he really wants. He just has to be man enough to step up and prove to her how much he’s changed.

Teaser 2:

Deep, regular breathing interrupted by movement as he turned over. A noise, persistent and loud was cutting through his slumber. He kicked at the sheet tangled around his legs as he turned again. Nearly awake now as the noise irritated him, he rubbed a hand over his face and pushed his hair away as he moved the cover from over his head and slowly opened his eyes.

Although the sky outside the window was dark, his room was lit by the hall light beaming through his open bedroom door which explained why he could hear the phone ringing, the noise that had woken him. Book Hangover…This one did it to me. #NaBloPoMo @SylviaDay

Do you know what a book hangover is?  Ever heard of such a thing?

 bookhangover

This book did it to me.  Twice.  There are two stories in this book.  Seriously, it did.

afterburn and after shock

Synopsis:

Never mix business with pleasure. Never bring politics into the bedroom. In a way I did both when I took Jackson Rutledge as a lover. I can’t say I wasn’t warned.

Two years later, he was back. Walking into a deal I’d worked hard to close. Under the tutelage of Lei Yeung, one of the sharpest businesswomen in New York, I had picked up a thing or two since Jax walked away. I wasn’t the girl he once knew, but he hadn’t changed. Unlike the last time we’d drifted into each other’s lives, I knew exactly what I was dealing with… and how addictive his touch could be. A Gentleman’s Memoir ~ By AJ Linn #NaBloPoMo

A Gentleman’s Memoir – By AJ Linn

The Gentleman’s Series Volume 3

AGM- Front Cover RGB

He does it again!  Another fabulous book by AJ Linn.  This is the third book in the Gentleman’s Series, the one that tells the reader about Donovan Hart BEFORE  the book, A Gentleman’s Affair.  It will answer your questions about the Underground, the voyeuristic behavior, and the girls. Oh the girls. And the girls and girls and girls.

Once again, AJ Linn has enlisted the help of his readers to write characters into his story.  The characters were Donovan’s “women” that we read about throughout the book.  I can say that I personally had fun creating my character or characters as they turned out to be.  I did as AJ asked, wrote my characters with a little background so he would understand what I had in mind when I created them.  But, when I handed them over I knew they were then his to do with as he wished.  And boy did he surprise me!  He had told me loved the character submission and when I read what he wrote about them I was blown away.  He is truly a talented and amazing author.  Writing characters into your story is not an easy task and knowing what I do about these books gives me a greater respect and appreciation for what an author does when he puts himself “out there” like this for his readers.  Thank you AJ.  I for one, have loved reading 2 books with my characters written into the story line. AJ Linn Gives Back To Susan G. Komen Foundation Once Again

cafe press

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

A topic near and dear to many of us, I am sure we all know a loved one, family friend or family member that has been touched by cancer.  Doing a super cool thing, just like last year, author AJ Linn donates the proceeds from his store to the Susan G Komen Foundation.  Doesn’t keep a penny!  Each month, when the check comes in the mail from Café Press, instead of taking his share and banking it, AJ Linn turns around and sends it to Susan G. Komen Foundation.   So, do your part in purchasing something from his store so you too can help fight Breast Cancer! #NoOneFightsAlone  Click on the picture above to go to the Café Press site to order.

I myself have ordered a few things and love everything I have received.  That’s me in the picture above showing off my new shirt last year.

Stay tuned to see what AJ Linn does THIS October!
